The PR400 and PM400 use Motorola’s X-Pand™

technology to compress the speaker’s voice at

transmission and expand it at the receiving end while

simultaneously reducing extraneous noise. X-Pand

improves the signal-to-noise ratio to improve audio

quality, particularly at 12.5kHz channel spacing.

Batteries and Chargers

All PR400 radios come standard with a

lightweight 1600 mAh Slim Lithium-ion bat-

tery. It’s easy to carry, does not suffer from

memory effect and can be charged in

90 minutes with Motorola’s new rapid

charger included in the standard package.

There’s also a new FM-certified “intrinsically

safe” NiMH 1300 mAh battery option.

Whether you select our nickel-cadmium,

nickel-metal hydride or lithium-ion battery,
